Nice example.

Agree with CAC

Hmmmm.... here was a recent post on Facebook (using a Superman ID) that showed Vacor on the left and Peltier on the right - good example of base colors. (Not a Cub Scout but base color would be same for both names - whether Vacor ones or Peltier ones). Based on this, I would say the original marble posted is Peltier.

Yes - I always get names mixed up but either John Deere or Lemon-Lime or Girl Scout or...

Looks like it.

Here is a jar that Dave gave me when I visited Jabo back in May 2005 for the WVMCC Show. It was from the April 2005 Spring Run. There must be 300+ peewee marbles in there!

Ahhhh, not a monster in size but in looks - I get it.

Superboy has not quite grown up yet so the "red" is still maturing and looks orange-red - that is my take on the different names.

Thank you Steph and Happy New Year to all!

19/32 equals Monster? Nice CAC but....?

Neat idea! New technology for marble history.

Recent boxes in Block's Auctions, with the white based Rainbos, sold for under $200. So, the buyer/bidders must have thought having the backfilled prettier Rainbos made it worth more. Plus if there are a couple bidders who really wanted it....?

No idea on the marbles. The guy that made these would have just put them from whatever source he had for the many bags that he made in tht late 1990'stime frame. There are some "different" patterned MK's at that size (larger ones get swirly, etc.). Here is a pic of one MK bag with some different looking ones.

I hate to say it but here is part of the list of fantasy bag from the mid-1990's - look at # 7. But, the marbles are cool (not fake LOL).
-
Agree - nice colors!
-
The 4th one is a doozy! LOL

I rarely look under magnification but I can see where Cheese is coming from - it does look iffy although I can't imagine someone using the plain marbles... Plus, I have never seen that bag or picture thereof before.

I have to disagree with Chad G. on this one. There were many companies that used marbles as a giveaway. While I don't have this bag, there are many other legitimate bags that did advertising like this back in the 50's-60's time frame. Master Lubricants was a legitimate national company. Of course, there are a ton of fantasy bags doing this "same" type of marketing ploy to seem legit but they all use colorful marbles, not plain white ones like these. So, I would go with legit bag.

Dave did a good job with the "copying".
