Cool Akro I found in the wild today.

It’s a shooter but super banged up. Is it Akro? Worth restoring?

On a separate note about Facebook, what drives me nuts is there are so many obviously wrong IDs. Lots of newbies guessing at IDs which makes the ID groups super confusing. Basically the blind leading the blind. I’m about ready to leave some groups because it’s so bad.

I have always loved glass and antiques so it made perfect sense that I got hooked on these little glass orbs. I love that the hobby is infinite. There are really no two marbles that are perfectly alike. I love the beauty of the glass, the history, and learning whatever I can about them. I bought my first jar of clearies last summer and have been hooked ever since. lol

1, 2 and 3 marble king and 4 a master? Maybe??

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess the bottom right is an alley and top right jabo. I am terrible at IDing swirls though.

Welcome! You have a nice collection so far. Pace yourself, as marble burn out is a real thing. I know from experience. Lol Just be patient with yourself. There is a lot to learn. I’ve only been studying these glass orbs since November and I can confidently ID only a few companies. From the pics provided, pick your favorites. Snap 3-4 angles, close up, and post for ID. The green and red in #10 would be a good start. I like that one.

Oh I get it. I think people are trying to price gouge on everything in general these days. It is ridiculous. I probably buy a lot of dumb marbles, but even in my opinion $10 for a conqueror is insane. Lol i haven’t attended a show yet because I’m pretty new at this but it looks like there is one in my area in the fall. I’m pretty excited about that.
