  1. Thanks. Never heard of Veligglass. I'm googling it now!
  2. Are just the two in the middle considered slags then? Are the rest wire pulls? I'm trying to learn the difference.
  3. Are these what you call wire pulls and slags?
  4. They are white and purple. Here are a few more pics in natural lighting.
  5. I was about to put that in my suspected imperials! Thanks!
  6. I started collecting marbles about a month and a half ago. I saw a jar of marbles at an antique shop and got hooked. I’ve always had a weird obsession with glass and I’m a bit of a minimalist and so this hobby just makes sense. I also collect rocks, uranium glass, trade beads, and perennial flowers (mostly peonies and daylily). I’m happy to be here and look forward to learning about marbles.
  7. Backlit (sorry I don’t have the best flashlight)
  8. Any thoughts on what this is?
  9. Sure thing. I will repost. I really love this one. The pics don’t do justice.
  10. I love hybrids. Here are some of mine.
  11. I promise I'm not. 🤣
  12. Ack. I don't know why the video turned out blurry. I'll try to get pics when I get home.
  13. This one is so difficult to take pics of. Let me know if this video helps. It's super pretty. 318648145_147899081038565_1196158225363202951_n.mp4
  14. I posted this to a FB group and never got a solid answer. Any idea?
  15. Bloody Jades? I don't know. Something bloody. lol
  16. I got these last weekend from La Crosse Antiques downtown. I think they are bloody jabos.
  17. I did not see that bird on the wall on Caledonia Street. Ha. I would show you pics of what I scored at the local antique shops but they're all mixed in with others I've accumulated over the past month. I've literally been collecting for maybe 4-6 weeks and I already have quite the stash! I've mostly found mine just by asking around. This photo are some that I got from a guy on craigslist. He and I both knew nothing about marbles, he allowed me to cherry pick, and from what people have told me I made quite a few good selections for the price. Here they are!
  18. All of them! lol I think there are only two in La Crosse, the one on Caledonia Street and the other is downtown.
  19. Good to know. Don't bother checking La Crosse Antiques, as I bought them out. lol
  20. I've never heard of Crazy Frank's. I'll have to google that. Thanks!
  21. Do you know if any antique shops in the area that have a good selection of marbles? I’ve been to the one in rural Decorah right off the border and the one in Harmony and haven’t had much luck finding any. I was maybe going to try the one in Cresco.
