You would be surprised as to how many perennial actually survive our climate (I'm on the SE MN/SW WI border). I am in zone 4 and have tested several perennials beyond the growing zones and even have some zone 5 that come back each year (knock on wood). Did you know there are several different varieties of cacti that survive our winters? I believe I have about 15 different varieties in my yard with yellow, pink, peach and red flowers.

In my experience, succulents are the worst! I kill them one.....by.....one.

Also, speaking of cats eyes, how do I get my hands on some of those four colored St. Mary cats eyes?

I am filling up my second gallon freezer bag and it's getting out of hand. I'd like to start unloading some soon. I know the hybrid cats eyes are collectible. Any others?

Gosh, I could post photos for days of just last year. So many photos. Summer is a busy time for me. Here are some random photos of my garden, chickens, flowers, yard, and my outdoor bunny that comes and eats cheerios from my hand. Her name is Cheerio. She disappears in the winter months, but she comes back every spring. In the mornings, she will be waiting at my backdoor for some honey nut cheerios.

What sort of things do you plant? I have a small vegetable garden with tomatoes, pickles, squash and herbs. But my passion is definitely perennial flowers. I have a ridiculous amount of peonies, daylilies and irises. I also like garden lilies, and I have the much coveted MN lady slipper which I am hoping will finally bloom for the first time this coming spring. I hope!! -
Who are you? Melissa Do you prefer handmade or machine made marbles? I like them both! I just started collecting a couple months ago and so what I like is TBD. I do know I like german handmades, a lot by Master and Akro, and some by Vacor. I also think Jabo classics are pretty fun. Here is me in happier warmer times with my flowers (my spring/summer hobby). 🌺

I'm about ready to start sorting and identifying patches. Is there an online guide to this? Perhaps photographs of patch marbles sorted by each company?
