  1. Trying to form marbles outside SUCKS! Chasing the drastically flickering flame around with a tiny hot ball of lava on the end of a glass rod is far from ideal. The breezes are unpredictable and can affect the glass temps in the orb! Charles got distracted and left the annealing kiln on too long causing flat spots. It is good to share the mistakes and failures to document how the process goes. Here is Glob 4 and glob 5.
  2. Still working on stuff but having fun is half the battle won! Still working on "Roundness" and battling wind factors and colder wind chill due to outside Gazebo set-up in friend's yard...but we are getting there! The Orange one is just shy(lol!) of 5/8ths ", and the green and yellow 'slag' is just shy of 3/4".So Much Fun!!
  3. At the moment, it is in a gazebo in my friend's back yard. We have plans to make a shed to combat the wind nd weather. I will take pics as we progress. Thanks and best wishes.
  4. Great idea!! Consider it done!! Thanks!!
  5. Howdy folks. It has been a while since I have posted anything; but there is a good reason-- Friend Charles and I have been working to set up a glass working station so that we can practice lamp work with various canes. 104 coe to start with but we tried boro, but couldn't get it hot enough. Anyway-- Ta-Da!! My first 'marble'! It's almost round, and I gotta start somewhere. It reminds me of an Ameba in a petri dish. Best wishes!
  6. I vote Alley swirl.
  7. Ah..What the hell...I vote Master!
  8. Vitro Tigers eye #3 and a classic at that! Not ammo! If you don't want it, I'll adopt it.
  9. Vitro Conqueror is my vote!
  10. Pelt is my vote. Sweet mib!
  11. For me, it would be better to post each marble individually with multiple pics showing all sides and its size. That way, we can help you more accurately...Great marbles ya got there.
