  1. My sorting so far has been sorting for families of marbles. Occasionally, in sorting, I found a really good Ram and pulled it out and placed it with my lutz/frit marbles. They don't all have 2 horns perfectly formed. I need to look for more of those after I get through sorting by family. Good ones are in there. Some with one good horn and a partial horn on the other side are in there. Then there are young rams with very short horns.

Edna .. is there a way to tell when the ram .. reaches .. maturity .. :cool-smileys-262: ......... bill

  2. You find these box sets with marbles inside which were produced by Peltier,Alley and Marble King. Cambridge auction last Saturday. Five out of state house guest here since last Sunday and Sistersville show going since last Thursday. Long days short nights. Busy clam.

  3. Thanks Bill.

But "exceptions in both makers" confounds positive identification, a least for my undiscerning eye.

your welcome ... my problem with trying to type and make my thoughts understood with this computer... is not my cup of tea. in hand ... is the best way for me to distinquish differances. either way on the sparklers .... an outstanding akro box you have. bill

  4. most accept 4+ colors ... very clear glass in parts of the marble ... vibrant, strong colors ... white wispy-stringy ribbons ... as sparklers. in general, sunbursts .. lack in most of the attributes of a sparkler. not as many colors ... duller in apperance ... altho, some are up to debate with akro. exceptions in both makers ....... bill
