  1. Is that what this is? 😊 .88
  2. It's a large Clearie. It should have an amber color when you shine a light through it I believe. At least that's what mine does. I have one almost identical. My cousin gave it to me when I started collecting. I think I know where it is.
  3. Oh yeah. It came with a Navarro, dug shooter patch, dug shooter Indian blanket, Metallic sheen Alley I believe. It doesn't look like new glass. It looks even weirder in hand. Cool...
  4. ...and other vintage companies. A few of the marbles were dug. Could this one be dug also, from who I have no idea? There's a hurricane eye that's raised. Like mutable swirly deep creases or seams. The seams are so deep, it makes the marble wobble even though it's round. It looks like it was done on purpose. ".61" I
  5. I rather the marbles, they looked great. I could get a custom made maple, cherry, walnut case with fabric in the holes for a fraction of that money.
  6. If anything, it's pretty. I'd buy it for a dollar...
  7. I don't know anything about boxes. So that's worth between 500-600?
  8. No one is going to believe this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/326918215299
  9. Well, my uncle likes them a whole lot. I told him I'll go half with him. There's different groups of these auctioned for anywhere from 175-399 but these are far the best looking. My top bid is 181 which beat a 179 bid if I win.
  10. How much could this be worth?
  11. You would think that around Christmas, marble prices would dip but I guess not.
  12. That's right, Carowill. After all, we're only human 😀 My two CAC flames were 200 and 350 less. Did you ever see them?
  13. Some more before I head off to Mississippi... Something to keep you cool on this warm Christmas day...
  14. A person on a marble website thats an IDer said this. They probably threw it away thinking it was dirty. "I would call it a Blended Dragonfly Rainbow, probably made in the 1950s or 60s at Paden City. It was probably discarded, and then dug up at the site sometime in the decades that followed. It is really cool. My guess is based solely on Marble Alan's Marble King page, you have the marble in hand, and I make plenty of mistakes, so here is the link: https://buymarbles.com/marblealan-mking.html "
  15. Hand burnishing sounds like a lot of labor. If so, my marble was taken to the dealership and the labor was free with an outstanding free Alley Agate Flame + a shiny Superman. Yeaaaaa.... Yes, hand burnishing a glass toy marble is considered labor. The act of burnishing a marble, whether done as a hobby, for restoration, or for artistic creation, requires physical effort and skill to alter its surface and achieve a desired finish. Physical and skilled effort: Burnishing involves rubbing a surface with a hard, smooth tool to compress and polish it. On glass, this requires specific techniques, tools, and careful application of pressure and abrasives (if used) to achieve a smooth, scratch-free surface without damaging or re-sphering the marble. This process is often time-consuming and can be challenging, as noted by ceramists and glass workers regarding similar processes. Purposeful activity: People burnish or polish marbles for various reasons: Restoration: To improve the appearance of a damaged or "landfill" marble for personal satisfaction or display.
  16. Who knows... I'm happy with it. It looks great! Shinny and beautiful. Plus it came with a free spectacular Alley flame.
  17. The only areas of notice are these 3 but all I feel is smooth. It's hard enough to look at close range but in hand, they're invisible. How does she look?? She's actually one of my wettest marbles.
