  1. Got some new info on this marble. From the seller: "I bought it at an auction in 2013, it was part of a very big collection. The owner passed away . The name of the owner is Ed Lindsey, the marble was in a group of CAC, but it could be early alley . I spent $3000.00 on that auction. It was awesome." Someone at All About Marbles thinks it may have been a dug marble at the Sistersville location. Hence, the many sunken glass bubbles. Love it! And of course, my uncle wants it. Sorry...Unc
  2. Looks like it. Really nice marble.
  3. If so, one of the best I've seen. I think I see green.
  4. A great big beauty! My uncle took mine...😔

    White on green

It almost looks like some kind of Slag.
  6. How many colors in the flames including the green? 5/8"
  7. I was asking the same question but it may be an Alley. The flames seem kind of inflated. Here's my verified CAC flame. The flames on this one are like sharp skinny whips.
  8. To identify an Oxblood marble, look for a deep, opaque, maroon-red color with fine black filaments or streaks. It is distinctly different from translucent red and will not light up when backlit. Oxblood glass is dense, appears to be a thin layer on the surface, and is often found with a clear, white, or other colored base, such as in corkscrew, swirl, or patch patterns" Oxbloods are great!!!
  9. As akroorka says, all marbles are good marbles...

    Alley? CAC?

All I can say is it has characteristics of CAC.
  11. Is there blending going on? Does brown count?
  12. Don't worry Tommy. We are going to find out more about it.
