A nice red one

So, Today I bought a larger collection from a very sweet only lady. She is moving from her house into assisted living. She was unable to transport the them, so her elderly brother met me. The marbles are ok, most are damaged from use. The brother told me they had had these since childhood ( most of them) and remembers playing with them and how popular and competitive marbles were. These show the wear from him and his sister playing with them There are a bunch of old Germans. Plus some other decent stuff. I love this collection so much because there is a story and history that I can envision. I'll be posting some of the better ones. There was still pounds of catseyes. The lady actually sorted everything and divided them in a cardboard box. What a great hobby

So. I just picked this up....I'm still in the car, but pretty excited. It's at least 1.5", but has some staining on the one side...hoping it's not mold...I've never seen one myself, this big...more pictures later
