Polished vs. unpolished for Newbies
Parmcat replied to Fire1981's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
It's funny this topic was just posted, because I've been thinking about this. I saw some videos with the guy with the polishing machine, and that's crazy. Just wondering what others have done to polish/refurbish marbles? I have a Dremel tool with all sorts of soft buffing tips and buffing compound. I may find a very damaged marble, and see what that can do Thanks -
Yes...looking at them, I do agree

I agree with you. This site is tops for me though

Looks like a common cats eye type, but it has a chunk of debris inside. I can't tell if it's just an internal fracture, or something left in the marble. Not really an ID question, but more just an interesting one

This one also has a different structure inside and what is that root beer colored stripe? I love it Help

I bought a collection today, and it came with a jar of about 90 Shooters. Mostly all Cats eyes, but they look older. There are three that stuck out, but I have no idea. This is the first one. The inside looks like a flat rose petal

I have seen them called Confetti as well

I bought a crafters lens with the light, but I will look for a loupe. Good info. There are also magnifying apps for your phone that are crazy good
