richsantaclaus
I needed something that would hold a lot of marbles but display them well. I had 10 jewelry flats with black felt inserts lying around so I headed to Lowe's and went shopping for wood, small nails and brass screws. Then I found a few brass figurines to add to the overall look. Got a garage door handle and wa-la ..... my new marble box all ready for my show in March. What do you think of it? richsantaclaus
Thanks. It was a ploy because I made an antique looking park bench for my wife as a Christmas present. Her dad's brother made one back in 1920 and it finally fell apart. So, to disguise me making a new bench for her and going to the hardware store, I told her I was making this box and she never knew about the real reason for my wanting to buy wood.
