Hello I wish to identify some marbles.

I will post them one per thread.

I want to be able to reasonably ID them so I can put them on my website for sale.

I will only comment that an unnamed forum lead me to believe that they are possible certain name marbles and allow them to also judge for themselves.

Can you help name them and would you be able to give a fair start price for them.

I dont want to ask 10.00 for a 5 cent marble ect.

That looks like clay or stone. How heavy is it relatively speaking?

I don't think this marble would have a value which would make it worth the cost of shipping. We could be talking about 5 cents. Lack of visual appeal makes old earthenware and clay marbles not that valuable in general.

Being candid here because you sound like that is what you want.

p.s., what size is it?

Larger marbles could be worth more even when they are plain.

That is ecactly what I want. Thank you for your honesty and being candid.

It is bigger than a half inch but not sure actual size. The caliper says number 7 and the dial on the handle is on 15 of 25

If it were an inch that's when it might start taking on more value.

So, right now, I'd have it in with my other "commies". ("Commie" is one of the names which clays went by in the olden days.)
