Marbles champs crowned in Wildwood Devon Loewendick, 13, refused to give his mom a toothy smile for the camera, despite winning a trophy nearly as big as he was and a $2,000 college scholarship Thursday in the National Marbles Tournament. The best marbles players in the nation were crowned king and queen Thursday after the four-day contest at Ringer Stadium in Wildwood. Emily Simkovich, 13, of Lansdowne, Pa., beat Brooke Donald, of Middletown Valley, Md., in the finals to claim her championship in the girls' division. ....
