Posted June 30, 2022 Report Share Posted June 30, 2022 Might I suggest a grey or some other neutral colored background or matt, w/ no black, bright or reflective colors or surfaces, it will help the lens to focus on the marble instead of everything else around it, some moderate to bright lighting will help also, I use a 40 w daylight bulb and allow the camera to focus on the glass before snapping the pic eliminating retakes. A bit of trial & error, marbles are probably if not the hardest thing to photograph. Here's a link w/ about the simplest and most effective setup I've seen w/ some incredible results.
