Madcap Laughs
Hello! A friend approached me with a decent quantity of the marbles in the attached photos and is asking for ID on them. They were found with the mibs attached. Dug in Clarksville WV (she thinks). Any thoughts? She has 1" blue also.

You show a bunch of “solids” here which are very hard to ID even in hand. The last image has a mix of makers including the red black and white based one which may be an Akro corkscrew. There are quite a few in this mix which I may consider as dug from the Akro site but quite a few that came from other makers such as Marble King, Vitro and Ravenswood-etc. Spread these out and give us a better shot. Madcap Laughs
I will ask her for more photos. I had asked for more but this is all I got. Thanks!
Madcap Laughs
And yes, I have already IDd the mibs in the final photo. I was simply showing what else they were found with. Would you like multiple angles of each of the solid marbles? If they are too difficult to make a guess on without a lot of fuss, I will just tell her so. My guess on the purple was Akro but just a guess.

Any thoughts? She has 1" blue also. I recognize the single-colored marbles with the folds and little eye (Spot) in the green ones. That "Eye' like mark is considered a Flinty. I have a bunch of them from a Digger at the Akro site 20 years ago, big and small, Lavender, blues, greens, black the same colors too. the same as you are showing. I think those notes are true. And I'd chance to say the swirls are Akro' if also noted, as well. I mean, this kind of stuff was all over the place and so common, too hard to sell. I got mine because I suspected the so-called 'Flinties' were no different than Chinese checker solid-colored game marbles so, I made a virtual blind bet on it by requesting a sample package (Sight unseen) of stuff they considered junk. Check them closer, some are folded and others got the eye. 1
Madcap Laughs
Thank you! I had a feeling the purple ones were flintes based upon a simple Google search, and sort of assumed the rest might be as well but did not want to to tell her that. Everyone on here is so much more knowledgeable than I could ever be! I will relay this to her and have her examine them as you have instructed. Thanks again!
