Glass samples with incuse letter B

Recommended Posts

I've had these laying around for years. The small one is clear deep ruby in color. It just looks like an oversized glass bead. Might just be a sample of something. The other two are marked with the same incuse letter B on the one side.

I thought maybe they were samples of glassware from a town or factory that had a name that began with the letter B. I just thought maybe I should ask. Ya never know. Thanks

Could be Brockway...I thought maybe Boyd but the letter B is encased in a circle or Diamond (unless these are earlier pieces)

Hmmmm....more opinions forthcoming I'm sure....πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

I'm thinking Boyd....earlier pieces were not encircled...had to think about that for a few!

Thank you!

Brockway is not too far away from me in PA. Out there off I-80 on the Pittsburgh half of the state.

I think I remember picking these up at a yard sale 30 years ago.

Either way I'm close...and that could be theΒ  gamechanger since you say that... then the odds would heavily favor Brockway...

Others will chime in...

Be Cool!

In my mind I could see a Hen on a Nest from either samples from Boyd's too. Haven't thought of Boyd's in many years but i used to sell antiques and could tell you back then who made what. LOL

Man how time flew!

That's me too...I used to know and remember alot of maker's marks...not so much anymore lol...I used to do ebay way back before it became Feebay, dealing with tons of antique this and that. Did sport's cards for 30+ years. Now in recent years, back into glass, mainly Slag samples from Imperial along with Akroware and of course marbles!

Loving it
