Thought it was clay, but it's a bit translucent. Ideas?

Another I bought in its own ziplock.  I assumed it was a clay, but when I got home, it has some translucency.

Any help is appreciated!

That looks like an old single-gather hand made glass marble. The little "nubbin" in the first picture looks like a melted pontil. It may be a Navarre.

I have been told it could be a MFC 9.  

 

Thoughts?

That possibility crossed my mind, and it's pretty beat up so it's kind of hard to tell for sure. But I am not seeing the cut-off I would normally associate with an MFC slag so I'll stick with Navarre for now.
