akroorka
The "Imperials" are less refined as far as the seams go. You can feel them with your fingernail. The Master Marbles--both the older and the newer versions show the seam in a smoother, more refined fashion. There are always exceptions--Imperials came from a multitude of machines in quite a variety of countries. The colors also play a role here, but the Imperials are quite close in many occasions. Master Marbles were made to compete with the stone Agates, so they had to stand up—very hard glass. “Imperials” were made to compete with the world—just a glass marble—ho hum. Marble—On!! 1
