AFAIK, What people call a Panda today would be better described as a Blue Panda, since they have white stripes on an opaque or translucent blue base. Some old NLR marbles that had white stripes on an opaque Black base were also referred to as Pandas. Skunks also have white stripes on a "black" base but they are later Rainbos (not NLRs). Zebras, on the other hand, are NLRs that have black stripes on a white base (and they often have aventurine). Your bottom marble in your first pic may well be a Blue Panda.
