COVRSWAP
Hi All, next one. I think it is a European marble, a sparkler perhaps. Colours seem to cut across the spectrum. surface is terrible with lots of chips and has a diameter of 18mm. Any thoughts on what it is, age and origin? Many thanks in advance for your support and insights.
Fire1981
Not a Sparkler. Sparklers are a machine made and are made by Akro. Some Sparklers are Foreign. That's a German Handmade.🔥 RAR
COVRSWAP
Many thanks. So much to learn clearly…. How can you tell it is handmade? What are the obvious signs and why Germany? Sorry for the questions - new and trying to learn.
Fire1981
The round things (pontils)are where that marble was cut off the cane. Imagine twisting a candy cane and then cutting a section off with scissors. Germany started making these around 1812ish 🔥
