An Interesting Coincidence

And here's the bead, which I found yesterday at a local antique shop. It doesn't come through quite in the photos, but the bead is the same rumply, blackish green glass as the marble. The bead is bigger (about 0.8"). The marble is only about 0.67".

That (green) "marble" is technically more a bead given that it is mandrel-wound as beads are (that is how I got started in torch working glass).  It isn't drilled.  You can see the winding technique in the glass.
