@Parmcat There is no way that I could be convinced your marble is Vitro. But that's just me, and all it really means is that I would not buy it as a Vitro nor would I put it in my Vitro collection if it fell into my lap. Some other folks feel differently, which is okay. We are all in charge of our own collections. 🙂

I agree with all you say.  As a newbie that's does not have the tools yet to identify divisive Ms bles like this, I rely heavily on these forums.

What gets frustrating, us when multiple people are adamant about a marbles....and when it's your marble, it gets confusing!

I appreciate all you do and all the time you give

If I remember right Ric was pretty much the only one that could ID WVS on LOM in 2002ish. Everyone else where chasing Hand Made and Machine Made ID’s. No Newbies knew diddly squat about WVS that I knew about at that time. I was gone and didn’t tap back into the marble Boards until 2017ish. Since then Ric,ChadG ,Cheese and Ron Shepard had started to nail down the different ID’s in common WVS. Sure CAC and Alley Flames were easy. But it was the commons that they started to post and helped everyone with all the different manufacturers. Color combos, swirl patterns and glass types. Guess what. They are still the hardest marbles to get a solid ID on. Some of them grew up where the factory’s were and got to dig after they were all done and out of business. I call them  Marble Archeologists and WVS Wizards. I think that’s a worthy daily name to call and recognize them as as we wait for them to nail down an ID for us they provide us with here every day. Lucky us.  I can only dream of being a Digger. 🔥

If I remember right Ron Shaw was also a WVS Wizard. I lost track but I do believe I got his name right. I think he was the President of the WVS Club. Duffy was involved as well until he screwed up digging at the MK site. I have no idea if Duffy is even with us anymore. I just remember he was a surly old salt and always thought he was fun to have friendly spars with and trade marbles with as well🔥

We all have our strong points here in one way or another. Newbie knowledge is one of them. Just remember what you just learned about an ID and help another Newbie to the Board when you know you just nailed an ID for them.Helping a Newbie or anyone with acronyms is alway a bonus to them as well. Boo Yah 🔥

RAR 🔥 AKSMJ90🪂 Good luck figuring out that one🚀

Kinda funny to think we all love little round colorful pieces of glass made out of different colors and other items made out of glass as well. So here we are. I guess there might be a Board where  people are posting pics of pieces of wood and have no clue what tree it came from. 🔥
