👋 I have returned for your marble knowledge !

I would like to apologize in advance for my questions. Whenever i developed an interest in something in the past I just started searching and reading until I knew everything I needed to know. Marbles, not unlike Lego mini figures (my other addiction) apparently require a lifetime of learning to understand ! Please bear with me ! 

I have 3 things on my mind ! First one ! 

So I found this Itty bitty teensy tinesy thing and I absolutely love it to pieces ! Had to share ! I wasn't near my caliper so I placed it next to a small blue Aleve tablet and a guitar pick.

Second ! The old marbles with the ribbons of color....are those ribbons of color called ribbons ? waves ? For some reason I want to call them swishes but im pretty sure Nike already owns Swish ! And why do some marbles have the same type of ribbons on the surface of the marble rather than inside ? And what exactly are those swishy marbles called ?

And third !

Any ideas on what themulti colored marble in the third photo[ is ? My Google image searches kept coming up with Jaba but it looked nothing like the others. I like how the salmon top and bottom are completely opaque but the center orange has much more depth ! The salmon stripish things are wider on one side. I thought it was going to wrap around but instead it just tapers down on the opposite side..... it's a beautiful piece

I hope others will comment as well, but here goes. 

The little one is called a Peewee Cat's Eye. Based on the colours I want to say it is likely Japanese but not sure. 

The 'ribbons' are called vanes. Those are multi vane cats eye marbles (usually they are 6 or 9 vaned but can differ). Some of those may be classified as caged cats eyes. Most looks a bit modern

The last one looks like it may be a Peltier Rainbo, but will need more photos. 

 

Ps. I am a big collector of lego minifigs as well!

The tiny guy is just a peewee Cats eye.  

The second group are caged cats eyes

Not sure on the 3rd, could be Jabo, but looks Vacor or Foreign

I don’t have any Pelts  that have the same ribbon configuration. If it was Pelt it would be a Tiger. I don’t think it’s a MK,Vitro or Akro. I think it’s an early Vacor. We’ll see what others have to say🔥

I think if we could see a couple more pictures of the salmon/orangey one at the bottom that would be great. Whatever it is, it looks like a really interesting marble. 😎

Here is a Pelt I think confirms your marble is a Pelt. Are there black ribbons on both sides of the wide ribbon like mine🔥

I took more photos of the 3rd marble as requested. Thank you everybody for your input. I learn more just checking in on this site then I do with days of searching and reading !

Im still trying to figure out the best way to photograph glass marbles ! With lights and angles and reflection it's nearly impossible to get a perfect photo of any one of them ! Atop a tiny clear glass jar is clearly not the answer lol

I think we both have Tigers here. Yours is very unique because there aren't any ribbons on one side of the seams. I really hope we get a few more options on this one.🔥

Newmarblemom, I am like you. I study stuff until I know all I can learn but since I started more seriously on marbles, I am finding there won't be anything close to a finish line. What I tried is to study one maker, and one type at a time. It helps me to learn more about the next kind I try to tackle. I haven't got far. There are lots here who have many years of study.
