It apears to be a clay with very heavy glaze. Notice the round hits or moons as in a heavily used glass marble. This one saw some great action to be sure but it stood up very well. I would call it a superior example of a well used--"undetermined" clay marble. It deserves a special place--someone really loved this one in the past--as I do .
