Alta
Is this a tri-color or just a Prize Name as it seems the orange is just the red thinning out? And in this one, I feel this is probably closer to a true tri color? Or could it be seen as 4 colors with orange, red, purple and white all seen as individual colours? I don't really care about the extreme nuances, considering they all go into the same Akro display, but like to find out the finer details. Last one for now. Very wounded but love the colors in this, have not had a base with this dark blue before. Is the dark edge seen as a separate color, and what about the lighter blue in the middle? I can see this one being described as anything from Prize Name to Four or even five color. I feel tri-color would likely be most correct?
akroorka
I think that they are all "Prize-names". I hunted these for many years and they seem to hook up with my research. The second one usually has more purple involved but there is still some there. The third one has an Oxblood streak--kind weird for sure but very cool. The first one is just a killer example-luv the colors involved. Prize names were not a "Just" they were some of the finest made by Akro imho. Marble--On!! 1
Alta
Oh definitely agreed. I love the Prize name Corks, most of those are some of my favorite marbles overall!
