G-Lassy
I am trying to learn about marbles like many others. Compartmentalizing seems to work best for me. Unfortunately, it has not worked for me so far with marbles as the amount of info is overwhelming. I have the books, watch the videos, make presentations and write reports on what I find as I go; I watch marble auctions and make notes. This old lady is still clueless. I know there are many grey areas in identifying marbles, but I would be happy to just have a few marbles that I put aside as questionable in regard to identification, while being sure of the majority. My objective today is a list of all makers of cat's eye marbles, which company made specific ones (ex. hybrid, etc.) , what the identifying marks are associated with specific makers, what the names of the types are, which ones are harder to find and which ones can be easily confused with other types of marbles and what makes them confusing (ex. Yasuda vs. CAC vs. Akro slag). SURE, I WANT THE IMPOSSIBLE........LOL
