i had never seen or heard of 'zia' marbles prior to steph's post. the auction states that they are made of clay. they DO resemble scott's marbles, as kris stated, which is why i like them.

thanks again for posting them.

do they float?

i don't know about those, but the ones my boys made from clay do not float.

(and they could probably shatter a guinea)

p.s. That's a fantasy box of clays from eBay seller Barbitontallucchio. (edit: I just found out that Barbiton Tallucchio is the one who makes the Zia marbles.)

MAYBE this will be my last Zia post. lol

I can't help it. I really like Barbiton Tallucchio's style! This box has an old metal marble shooter in it, one that looks every bit of its age! (which to me makes it all more fun!)

Well, me and my camera had a little talk ... and it decided to cooperate today.

Here they are, on a brief stroll outside their cozy gift box.

How does anyone put all that color together ... whether glass or clay? That takes ingenuity.
