Black & White and measures 9/16".  No damage that I can see.  It's been a long time since I sold  marbles, but it's time to start finding them new homes.  I'd appreciate it if you tell me that I've given it the correct identification (or correct me if I'm wrong).  Thanks!

The colors seem to be in the same family. 19/32, 5/8, and 3/4 inches.  The larger marble has a "flame" type pattern.  Need to know the maker, if possible, for listing on eBay.

Steph.  I think it was the "opaque" description of a Clambroth marble that got me on the wrong path. 

It's amazing how a few minutes on this Forum can make a toy marble into an eBay Item!

I don't buy hand made marbles and know little about them.  But once in awhile, you buy a jar, and they sneak in ---

These measure just under 5/8" and there were 10 or 15 in with some old clay, a bunch of hand mades and some cat's eyes. Thanks, Nancy.

I have some Mexican marbles, but nothing of that size. I'll dig them out and check for these colors and the dappled skin.

I picked these out of the bunch I just got at an auction. Two are 1" and the other two are 1 1/2". The surface is what I would call Orange Skin. I haven't a clue unless they are foreign or artist-made. Any ideas from the Connection?

Thanks for the comments. I doubt that I'll be around long enough to find the rest of that cereal box but I do love the hunt. Ric: It's very possible I was playing marbles that same year - Mickey and I are the same age! Then again, I think I was more into Hop-Scotch!

Sorting some 1935 Mickey Mouse cut-outs from Post Toasties Cereal boxes and found myself a keeper.

Steph: American Machine-Made Marbles describes Canaries as one-color translucent Peltier marbles - "The National Milkie is similar to the Akro Agate Moonie, and the Canary is similar but has a slight greenish tint."

A yellowish tint would make more sense to me but they got that info someplace - ??

One end is clear, the other end just fades away.

No oxblood - the colors are translucent.

I've been trying to get better pics but the cutline doesn't want to appear for me.

I have 3 of these marbles, the same size, color and pattern. The first picture is the 3 of them and the other pic shows the ribbon.

Thanks, everyone. I thought the "ribbon" looked possibly Peltier but it was part of a purchase that was all Akro so I started in that direction. I guess the color is new to me, also. I'll look some more in a new venue - Ha!

It's a good-looking marble but I don't know if it's quite a corkscrew so I don't know where to go from there. Reddish brown and bubbly clear. Measures 15/16".

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Who would have made a solid color marble that size? Too big for a Shooter - too big for Chinese Checkers. It has some swirlys in it but I couldn't find a 9 & tail. There is a faint line up the middle which is a crease. Otherwise, it hasn't much to say for its size.

Hi. It's early am and I just caught up with your post, Jessica. How great is it to be able to put those arrows in someone else's pics?! Yes, there is green in with the red and yellow but I didn't catch it in my new picture. And the other marble does have gray and black corks. I always think I'll have time to devote to mibs but it doesn't seem to happen and so I'm not too fussy about what goes on display. LOL

Here's my Akro corkscrews. They are so eminently collectible because only Akro made them and they are easy for me to identify. they are in a fountain pen display case with a slanted front and it works well - except that the 1" marbles won't fit.

Thanks, Jessica. When I got on the right track (Aces) I found lots of blue ones. I've got some nice corkscrews from the basic solid color on white to some of the spirals and onyxes. I think these are my first Aces.

These are about 1" in diameter and have the corkscrew of color. And the green one is fluorescent. But I can't find any id on the blue marble. I have blue corks, but they have a clear base. What is the blue one called, if anything?
