  1. And one more . . . after going a gazillion miles an hour for 10 years. (I'm chortling)
  2. That would make sense. I don't know how many of the ones that are coming might have the pigtail thing -- or not. And I don't know the Vacor Old Fashions. Or any Vacors very well . . .
  3. By pink boxes do you mean the plain boxes of Rainbos in post #5?
  4. When they come, Ill try harder to beat my camera into submission - - -
  5. I'm hyperventilating. If it had been me, I probably would have blown the whole thing by shrieking and jumping up and down.
  6. From the way the surface looks in the photo, I suspect the black Peerless Patch looks that way from burial iridescence rather than aventurine. What a freakin' find!
  7. My point exactly! Given the nature of and use for a sachet, where could it be intended for, with that leather body, industrial zipper, and honking great grommets? A horse stall? I just can't reconcile the materials with the sachet suggestion. An FAO novelty gift makes much more sense!
  8. Right-handed in writing, tend to be ambidextrous in others. I've been accused of sweeping left-handed, for example. So I didn't know I had a left-handed eating deficiency when it came to fine motor skills until I separated my right shoulder in a fall from a horse and poured my first spoonful of soup straight into my lap rather than my mouth. My father was ambidextrous, although I didn't know that until I was in high school. Wha?
  9. I suppose fun is a relative term, yes? Or one with many meanings? This is fun for me . . . especially if I've been drinking . . .
  10. Well, some more whackos have come my way. I only have one in hand, but I have eight more coming. They're all very similar, and the one I already have is -- kind of unbelievably -- old glass, Which is why I bought the remaining ones. I seem convinced that if I have some and stare at them long enough I will become enlightened. Just to clarify, the glass is actually white. The orangey-red color is not far off.
  11. Yep. Start with "open one, save one." Then if the one you open is interesting . . . don't have too much reluctance to open the other.
  12. But why would it be leather? As opposed to cloth, like most sachets? And have holes that big? Hmmmm . . .
  13. I think this type of "marble bag" predates green florist foam. But I could be wrong.
  14. Yep, grommets. I don't know why grommets either -- and big ones. To hold your winnings steady? Until the game was over? The bags don't seem terrifically expandable given the relatively shallow depth, so maybe not a real carry-'em-all marble bag. A temporary show-off kind of marble-winning thing? I understand the flower idea too, but I'm having trouble putting together water (for the flowers?) and the leather and coming up with something . . .
  15. No help from me at all. Been wondering about them too.
  16. I'm still struggling to get past the first one, that flaming paneled onionskin with the green mica body.
  17. How could I have forgotten??
  18. Take it out of the bag, Ric. Take it out of the bag, Ric. Take it out of the bag, Ric. Take it out of the bag, Ric. Take it out of the bag, Ric. Take it out of the bag, Ric.
