ok, so I've only collected for 9 months and others have better mibs than these BUT I am excited to have these little jewels. If you have some pictures of your favorite cateye mibs, please post them too! Rich

Those are beautiful too!!!!! COE is a function of the glass Steph. I know air expands and contracts but I don't know how this affects the inside of glass. Might make a cool scientific experiment - thanks for the idea!!!!! You R O C K!!!!!

Also occasionally the glass itself boils under the intense heat when it's melting point is exceeded to highly causing bubbles to form in the interior of the marble.

There is also a Tungston pick we use to pl;ace bubbles where we want them to go rather than a general pattern.

I might be able to help as I like to include little air bubbles in some of my marbles I make. As you can see in this pix, I put a spread of bubbles inside the clear viewing dome. If one follows the 15% rule with trapped air, usually there isn't a problem with tiny bubbles. The COE isn't a concern but the percentage is. Another factor is how close to the external surface is the bubble. Depending on the size of the mib, the closer to the surface the bubble is the more chance of making a pin prick or little dent and possibly breakage.

Oh no, please stay...lol. Not everyone has to like the same flavor in marbles - I like them ALL but these are just my fav Jabos. I plan on starting a thread on my favorite hybrid cateye marbles and pelts and vitros, and on and on and on. So, please stay and play marbles with me...lol Rich

Nancy - I have 4 display cases of Jabos and the above pix are about 60% of the one case I feel looks the best for modern day machine made marbles. The others are stunning too but I especially love the colors and the designs.
