    The Rich made marbles and the Fenton cullet marbles are about 1 1/8" in diameter and the others are 5/8" diameter. Here are a few pix of each type for your viewing pleasure...lol First 2 of 4 pix - Rich created flower marble

    ok - here's a bit of history about this project. The first attempt - the bead went all black with all color burning out. The second attempt - I kept the bead in the medium part of the flame and 75% of the color vanished. Last attempt you see here - WAY out in the coolest part of the flame worked! These little buggars were not easy to make a marble out of!

    FYI - I have a vendor that makes his own mineral marbles! His name is Wolfgang Mueller and he's really good!

    Thanks. It was a ploy because I made an antique looking park bench for my wife as a Christmas present. Her dad's brother made one back in 1920 and it finally fell apart. So, to disguise me making a new bench for her and going to the hardware store, I told her I was making this box and she never knew about the real reason for my wanting to buy wood.
