  1. I'm gonna have to take a torch to my Indians Chad - see if there's anything unexpected in there!! Love that Joseph too.
  2. A few random onionskins - a couple with a few bits of mica.
  3. Another pic of my minty 11/16" red mica
  4. Some random 5/8' onionskins this week.
  5. Beautiful Ric - not seen that design before.
  6. Just for a complete change here are clearies I keep in Victorian measuring cylinders. A mix of marbles broken out of old bottles, some bullet moulded marbles and some which can be found on cheaper old solitaire boards. Nothing of any value or rarity but fun to have a few!!
  7. Another shrunken core onionskin this Thursday.
  8. I'm hoping your name indicates that we may see some German marbles from your collection!!
  9. And to me - its the kind of transparent glass that we'd call a 'jelly core' if it was central. The marble has a finely faceted pontil so is from the earlier period.
  10. Here's a nice 11/16' onionskin this week.
  11. Here's an 11/16' shrunken core onion with a bit of mica.
  12. Love those Clams - I need to get one some time as there's none in my collection🤔
  13. Beautiful colours on the second one Chad!!
  14. 7/8" slightly shrunken core Joseph Coat this week.
  15. Nice colour - very attractive transparent banded swirl!
  16. Here's a nice little 5/8" onionskin Lutz which I've had for a long time!
  17. Here's a Chad Valley set - boxed and original. Mediocre quality board typical of this maker - stained pine I think with mostly coreless swirls. Presumably made quite late on in the period - maybe even early 20th Century but that's a guess!
  18. That's a great thought - marble collectors are a great community! I was really referring in my post to the incredible 2'+ rarities which US collectors sometimes post pictures of. These seem to have been exported from Germany directly to the US market in the 19th Century and very few to the UK. So they are very rare over here, unlike the smaller German marbles for UK-made solitaire boards, which are quite common in the UK, and which I collect. Always happy to see your German marbles here on a Thursday!!!
  19. Well I've been collecting longer than I care to remember. And there's collectors on this board with amazing marbles we never see in the UK!!! Keep looking for those Germans...........
  20. I paid around £10 or less in the UK so very hard pass. They are very easy to find over here. Good luck finding them ' it is cool to display German marbles in glassware of the same era!
  21. I love them all but the colours on the 1" onion are very nice. I've been collecting 30 years but got most in the first 1990s when collecting in the UK was much easier!
  22. A jar of onions and Josephs this Thursday.
