So a friend calls me and tells me he’s at an auction. Apparently there are jars with marbles. After he sends me a poor picture of the lot, I say, sure bid on them for me. Long story short, I have 2 quart jars filled with Jabos.🤦♂️ They are super cool looking, I just know nothing about them.
If anyone with Jabo knowledge would be willing to help me sort through them I’ll be posting pics on this thread. Thank you in advance!

"Naked" is a term used in handmades for some time. I've never heard it used to refer to a machine made.
I think the term you are looking for is "anemic" - which is used to describe machine mades that didn't receive enough colored glass. Usually those were discarded.
I did not know that!🤔 wow so much to learn. Thanks for the heads up.

#3, I agree
#6, I'd go with Alley based on the tone of blue, but hard to say
#7, Steph might have nailed it, although I wouldn't have guessed that from the first pic
#9, most likely a CAC, and even the 'elusive' turkey from the second angle
Nice group overall!
Thank you! I’m definitely feeling Alley on #6. Good eye!

LOL I just find it amusing the Akro actually looks like a turkey. 🦃 I’ll upload some close ups of baby blue #6 tomorrow.

The size of #6 is 21/32. Wow I wouldn’t have guessed CAC on #9. That’s exciting. I was thinking maybe #7 was oxblood but I’ve never seen one in person.

All of these marbles will be older. These were in my grandfather’s collection.

The last one looks like someone pounded nails with it - downright galactic looking, kind of cool. Does the dirty white glow under UV?
lol I have no idea what could have happened. Currently I don't have a UV light. I am getting on this weekend. I'll update everyone then.

Honestly the only thing I know about aventurine is that it's green and shimmery. I haven't tried the pink under a black light yet.
