Here is a set I thought was cool!

So a friend calls me and tells me he’s at an auction. Apparently there are jars with marbles. After he sends me a poor picture of the lot, I say, sure bid on them for me. Long story short, I have 2 quart jars filled with Jabos.🤦‍♂️ They are super cool looking, I just know nothing about them. 

If anyone with Jabo knowledge would be willing to help me sort through them I’ll be posting pics on this thread. Thank you in advance!

I think the term you are looking for is "anemic" - which is used to describe machine mades that didn't receive enough colored glass.  Usually those were discarded.

Thanks Mike! Steph here is a close up of #6. I think I’m getting an Alley vibe.

These two are naked Masters. I normal see them with a colored base or the very striking sunburst. Very unusual, to me that is.

LOL I just find it amusing the Akro actually looks like a turkey. 🦃 I’ll upload some close ups of baby blue #6 tomorrow. 

With that being said about #9. I’m realizing what I thought,  was a 15/16 corkscrew is now a turkey as well. Can this be true?

The size of #6 is 21/32. Wow I wouldn’t have guessed CAC on #9. That’s exciting. I was thinking maybe #7 was oxblood but I’ve never seen one in person. 

All of these marbles will be older. These were in my grandfather’s collection.

In the first picture, you can see what I think is a punty mark. Any thoughts on if Its hand made or who the maker might be? 19/32 Thanks

lol I have no idea what could have happened. Currently I don't have a UV light. I am getting on this weekend. I'll update everyone then.

Honestly the only thing I know about aventurine is that it's green and shimmery. I haven't tried the pink under a black light yet.

Cool little flea market find. 19/32. I was thinking Jabo, since it was in a bin full of them. But it almost feels too simplistic for Jabo. Thoughts?
