  1. I know that transparent swirls can be particularly difficult to ID. I thought maybe the yellow base might help to narrow it down. Measures 19/32." Thoughts?
  2. Thanks. I suspected it might be a JABO but wasn't sure.
  3. One of the more interesting ones from the weekend. Any ideas on the maker? Does it have a special name?
  4. I think there is some oxblood, but its underneath the tobacco brown. I was thinking Peltier with all of the ribbons pushed to one end, but my guesses have been way off lately... Thanks for your help!
  5. Thoughts on this one? It measures 19/32.
  6. I was thinking Peltier because it reminded me kind of a 7 Up (not the colors, but the structure), but now that you've said it, I can totally see it! Thank you very much!
  7. I think I have a Peltier but I'm not sure??
  8. Thank you Ron. Informative as always!
  9. The swirl in this purple marble forms a "6" instead of a "9." I thought it might be M F Christensen transitional but the direction of the swirl has me wondering. It measures 3/4". Thanks!
  10. I think that's it! I googled "double ingot akro" and found some examples with the same color combination. Thanks for the help!
  11. I'm going to buy one and try it. Even if doesn't work my wife will get use out of it cleaning her jewelry. I'll be sure to post the results. Thanks again Steph!
  12. A while back I traded with a guy for a box of marbles. Many have what appears to calcium or some other kind of mineral deposits. I live near the beach so its quite possible they have been exposed to salt water. This gold & red swirl is one of the more interesting ones. Does anyone know what it is? It's by far the most interesting. Is it worth the effort to continue to clean it? I've tried Bar Keepers Friend which contains oxalic acid. I've had few soaking in vinegar for a couple of days which has helped some. Does anyone have any advice on cleaning dug marbles? I thought about buying a sonic cleaner and giving it a try. Has anyone ever used one to clean marbles?
  13. These 3 seem to have the "fire" Steph was talking in her tutorial. I had them with the Moss Agates but now I'm wondering if they could be Realers? They're about 3/4".
  14. This one measures 21/32. Master? Imperial??
  15. Thanks guys. I've gotten better but some of the Jabos still confuse me. Can either of you recommend a good book or online resource to ID them? Steph, thanks again for the seam tutorial! It's very, very helpful tool!
  16. Pretty marble, but is it old or new? Measures 19/32.
