  1. I love that yellow slag. Do you also own that yellow layered sand you showed me? So beautiful, I just hate when they mislabel and mislead. I will find a real MF Christensen one day. My quest is not complete!
  2. It does about Popeyes, but now the Akro “Liberty” how many variations can there be? I had a positive ID before I bought mine, so is this really an Akro Liberty?
  3. I enjoyed seeing your marble, and everyone’s input. You didn’t hijack the thread at all. Thank you all.
  4. Thank you all for the photographs and articles, I really appreciate your assistance. I have looked at that marble collecting site frequently. Once I am able to see better, I sincerely hope I can ascertain, what I have to sort them properly, 3/4 of them I have no idea what they are. It is really wonderful of you all to be so helpful.
  5. Definitely delicious, I love it.
  6. I am unsure about the whole range and variations of Popeyes. Can they be swirls and corkscrews and still be Popeyes? What makes them Popeyes? I thought I knew, I’ve looked at identification guides and still there are maybe three marbles I can positively ID without asking, otherwise I’m lost in swirls, flames, slags, opaques and new manufacturers. Does every newbie feel like Alice or Allen in Wonderland without the white rabbit’s help? Maybe it’s just me. Thank you.
  7. Absolutely not, it’s not even close, it’s not mine yet, whenever I post an ID with price I am asking if that price is in the ballpark. I am sorry if I’ve breached protocol somehow. I didn’t mean to offend or anger anyone.
  8. Thank you, I appreciate it.
  9. Thank you so much, It really adds up if you keep overpaying, I really do appreciate you letting me know, I’ve been looking at your pelts!
  10. That was one gorgeous marble you showed, I want that one! Thank you.
  11. OMG, I don’t think I have enough posts yet, I have been waiting to see the seller’s page. I over spent and should have done more research before I found this group so I am that newbie you describe! FOMO def happening here!
  12. I honestly never realized the variety of alleys or other marbles and how hard a marble dig actually was until I saw the videos of Heaton and the others you all sent me. Then on another site I stumbled across photographs of a Pennsboro, WV dig at the Alley factory and it was led by WVRON, I immediately recognized him as a member of this group. Man, was I in awe of the hard work you all put in, but the rewards of going through all of that material must have made you giddy. I recently purchased a pound from that area and spent most of the day going through the misshapen bits and found some nice common alleys, but the little mistakes were the fun ones for me. I felt like I was eight years old and that was a heck of a long time ago! I ordered the rest the gentleman had, it was inexpensive, it is just going through the marbles, so fun. Then I saw Chad’s gallery photos of his alley collectIon, along with his other goodies and it was just bursts of color and beauty, on every page. The collections you all have are just amazing. Thank you for opening my eyes to new manufacturers and a colorful, fun hobby-except the actual dig, I could not do that physically but if I could I’d be down in a hole or cave some where. Really great stuff. Thank you.
  13. These are three closer photos, that have me wondering. It looks like the light is causing the color change, I do not know enough to tell and really appreciate your comments.
  14. Thank you all, what does hand gathered mean?
  15. Thank you so much, it’s from medication I’ve taken since birth, mostly steroids like prednisone and salumedrol for my lungs. Luckily I didn’t wait longer to see eye doctor, pressure behind eyes became really bad and COVID made me afraid to leave the house, I finally went after vaccination and couldn’t see out of my left eye when tested, well it was blurry, which caused me to freak out. I’m sure it’ll be fine. I just hate not being able to read! Thank you again for your kind well wishes.
  16. It is my pleasure to know you and I appreciate all you do for indigenous people. I love the four corners area. I’ve been to Denver many times to National Jewish Health-best pulmonary doctors in the country IMHO. I work a lot with Lakota Law Society and Pine Ridge Reservation- One Spirit, which is for the children. People have the misconception in the east that all Indian tribes have casinos and are doing quite well. You tour Pine Ridge or Rosebud and it is like a third world country. So sad from the richest nation in the world when you see some of the people who have more money than they’ll ever spend and the dire poverty of the original Americans. Sorry I’ll get off my soapbox, now!
