Looked like two cases of crap from what I saw. A few bennies and maybe some unglazed china. They way over paid in my mind. It didn't sound like there was any glass marbles in the cases.

All is fine on my end.

Wow Craig! Very nice set.

Most of those look like Vitros to me. And I have the same box that is in your auction..........I keep it with my Vitros.

I am not so sure you could call those same cane. The stripes aren't the same on each.

It's hard to imagine getting better deals at shows. It's not like there's any bidding, so naturally the sellers would ask the most that they think they can get.
You would be surprised then. Especially if you have been buying at Alan's prices on Ebay.
-
By from other collectors. Its easy! Most of the collectors that sell at shows will gladly sell year round. You also often get to look the marble over in hand before sending any money and get a much better price.
-
it looked good from the pics on ebay, but they were muted and far away....looks like I will only buy higher end mibs from reputable dealers, and to that effect, maybe only from people I know at shows....I was getting the bug though! Thanks for the info

Good idea. Ebay is so hit and miss. But there is always the shot at getting a great deal on a great marble.....so its kind of alluring.

But thats purposely added and cullet is used at Jabo. I agree that aventurine was pretty much accidental "back in the day" when batch made glass was used. Peltier sure did nail it though, and (to me anyways) finding out that they repeatedly used the same formula to get the "sparkle" would be the least surprising new piece of evidence to surface if it were to.
JVV, that is out of this world!

Same to you and Linda!

LOL, step away from the computer. No need to be looking for marbles in a paperweight.

I am glad I had the pleasure of meeting Bo. Quite a guy. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
