  1. NLR marbles preceded Rainbos and were made from the late 20’s through the late 30’s. They usually have 4-6 colored ribbons and 2 seams (Miller, it’s predecessor have 1 seam). The base is usually opaque and the ribbons are just on or below the surface. Rainbos date from the late 30’s and have less brilliant glass. They also have 2 seams with an opaque or transparent base. Ribbons usually are 1-2 near the center of the marble. Rainbo ribbons tend to go into the marble towards the core.
  2. Seems to match the ones in Roger Hardy’s The Complete Line of the Agate Company on page 72-73.

  9. Definitely not Alley corals but some similarities with my ravens BUT the swirls have more striations

  11. 3 yellow and 1 white opaque surface ribbons that corkscrew around the marble on the surface with a submarine yellow “V”
