  1. Last group for the day! The two in the middle almost look like someone used a paintbrush on them. Is the fourth a Vitro? Thanks! Sizes: .62, .58, .61, .60
  2. They look similar to a previously identified one. Have I learned anything? Hah! Sizes: .65, .70, .66
  3. Is the 1st one a Master? Cloudy or Comet? No idea, I just really wanted to guess! πŸ˜„ Sizes: .65, .63, .60
  4. Do these pics help any? Me taking decent pics is still a work in progress! Black with white and red with darker red seems to be difficult!
  5. I really appreciate all the help. Thanks so much! Sizes: .53, .60, .61, .51
  6. Thanks for the info, Ric. Would the Master be considered a Sunburst?
  7. More pics of the middle one, if that helps?
  8. If nothing else, they sure are pretty. Thanks for the help! Sizes: .59, .63, .62, .59 .60, .62, .61, .62
  9. I think these look really cool! Sizes: .63, .60, .63 .61, .67, .62
  10. I have 3 books to pour over and feel like I'm still mostly lost! Thanks! Sizes: .57, .56, .61
  11. What an amazing video! Makes me want to find and go to a marble show! Thanks for sharing.
  12. I was fortunate enough to pick up a copy of Marble Mania, edited by Stanley Block, based on a recommendation from here in the group. This is the revised and expanded 2nd edition published in 2010. It's loaded with pictures, has an excellent glossary and index. It's chock full of information! I'm guessing the prices from then are most surely outdated today. Maybe now I'll be able to begin getting a decent grasp on the terminology and on identifying these lil spherical beauties! I think this book would be beneficial to anyone collecting marbles and especially good for those new to collecting. In my search for a copy I found the price ran the gamut of what I felt was reasonable to fairly expensive. The big auction place currently has a couple in the $30 plus range. I was lucky enough to procure one for less than $20! Enough bloviating! I have a book to get back to. 😁
  13. The USA is out, so I've been cheering for all the, supposed, underdogs. I was leaning toward the Netherlands, but I'll admit a part of me would like to see Messi win one.
  14. May I ask what 'av' stands for, please? Thanks in advance!
  15. Totally different than any of my other marbles. Is this a contemporary one? The size is .57 Thanks!
  16. Are they Akro or Peltier slags, or something else? Thanks!
  17. Morocco?? For real! No way I ever would've thought that would happen against Spain!
  18. My smaller ones. No peewee though. I think the first yellow is an alley? Thanks for the help! Sizes: .53, .54, .53 .54, .54, .52
  19. Are some of these Royals or Moss agates? Thanks! Sizes: .69, .60, .63 .60, .61, .62, .59
  20. Ugh! I was pulling hard for the good ol' USA. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ The Netherlands πŸ‡³πŸ‡± were just too good! I may have to pull for them the rest of the way. Oh, and Morocco πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦! πŸ˜„
  21. Are most/all of these Alley swirls? These are some of my favorite style. Is "style" the right word? Thanks! Sizes: .64, .60, .62, .65 .59, .64, .63, .60 .61, .63, .62, .66
  22. Thanks so much for the info, Ron! I really appreciate it. One of my goals is not to ask you folks to identify all my common marbles! Maybe I'll get there.
  23. Well, go me! Three out of four. I'll take it! I really did wonder about that last one. With all the help of you wonderful folks here, I might actually learn something! However, I'm thinking Akro Corks might be some of the easiest to identify? Thanks, Chad.
  24. Are these considered Akro Corkscrews? I wasn't going to guess for fear of looking like a dingbat, but why not? It's never stopped me before! Plus, it's in the interest of my education. πŸ˜„ Sizes: .63, .65, .63, .65 Are the pics too dark?
