Asian made most likely. From the style and dents could be tawain. Imo anyways, but definitely wait for others thoughts. Sometimes my Id's suffer from tunnel vision.

Duck Marbles from the Seike family
davesnothere replied to shiroaiko's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I agree , I've played with polymer clay and attempted to duplicate swirls it's intresting. It takes a someone to know the glass used by certain manufacturers and the quality when finished. Not wanting to go down that rabbit hole anytime soon . I think most of my similar swirls are to destined to be put in a big jar . I'll let someone sort them when I. Gone lol. On the bright side more room for my older marbles that I can identify easily. BTW this is the best thread I've seen to date. No arguments and informative. Take away the value and putting the collectors interest first. -

@shiroaiko the swirls are very nice I have a lot of these too. Very similar to design to an American maker. I'm shocked 😲 -

@shiroaiko its not the nicest spring, we've had grey and snow all week. Thanks for the info I suspected such on the marbles. I would post the lot but I've mixed them into my bulk containers. I'm struggling with it . My interests are early marbles , makes it harder to sort 😊 -

A cowboy rode into town on Friday. He stayed for three nights and rode out on Friday. How is this possible?

Not sure, but I'm not seeing peltier .Its the white and blended colors ive never seen that combo yet. Cool marble ! Hope it is.

I agree with your thinking. Also my thinking .I think these types are not intentionally made but a start of a run, intended to be whatever opaque style, and these are the fillers. Wasn't it the akros that were dug? I sure wonder about german as well just because the machine made mibs are thin colored and dull.

@shiroaiko great information thank you so much! heres a surprise. I never felt that this marble was german made I've made the argument that the cadmium in the orange/yellow was not a german trait. The prewar seikes definitely share this trait. Not seeing uranium at all. I included my cats with the same red orange for comparison. -
@Ric isn't that a sweet combo! Wish I had a larger one.
