  1. Looks like an Alley. To me anyway. Spruce green. Hard to tell but I think I see a bit of AV. Shimmering spruce weren’t all light green I believe..
  2. 3 of a kind to be exact… sheer luck
  3. Thanks everyone. I appreciate the assistance with this cool old mib.
  4. They looked like pelts more than vitro. There is a 4th one without the metallic band that looks like a ppp also. Thank you very much.
  5. I thought these were Vitro black eyed peas in the picture. When I got them I found metallic bands in the black. Rough looking surface sort of like an Alley Snakeskin. The blowholes had me thinking possibly a Peltier. What’s the verdict? There are 3 of them. Pics mixed up. Thanks for looking.
  6. Thank you. I do believe it’s fairly early. It’s got that lumpy feel when you roll it between your fingers. I like them lumpy. lol. It reeks of authenticity and antiquity… perfect imperfection imo I will be taking a harder look into St. Mary’s and Sistersville. The jabo was a honorable mention as a carnival but it eyeballed as agreed by all a Jabo.
  7. Thank you. This mib is definitely not as bright as a Pennsboro Carnival. I was unaware of the St.M version. I had leaned Alley/Jabo. Just confidently calling it an Alley might be as best it can be categorized. Be tough to match to the St.M carnival for me unless someone reputable was certain. I don’t have the experience. It definitely doesn’t look like most alleys. I like it though. Played but has some character to compensate. Much thanks.
  8. I hesitate to reply. With all due respect. Contradicting the experts is risky if you are afraid of expressing yourself. Or too fragile to be corrected. Perhaps few will believe me when I say that that I knew the owner of the collection and there were zero marbles out of over 800 that were post 1960. The collection belonged to his father who played marbles as a child. It was passed down to him in 1983. Well before Jabo. He knew nothing about them and had no interest in them beyond asking $275. Neither of us knew the value of the collection. I have sold several thousand dollars worth of the collection with 90% of it remaining. It’s how I got started 14 months ago. I’m new. But this is not a Jabo. Not to mention that Jabo seems to be well documented and photographed in production. Someone should be able to back up their claim with a Jabo picture. Got to stick to my guns here. It’s lumpy and out of round. It’s been played. 99.99% of Jabo marbles have never been played. And never will be. That’s all I have to say. You can call me stupid, but it’s not a Jabo.
  9. It’s got uranium in the green. Solid UV reaction. Perhaps that will help identify it
  10. Nice to have someone rooting for the underdogs…Thanks
  11. What is it please Chad? cuz my first guess was a CAC to be honest. Thank you for the prompt reply
  12. Ok. Let me get better pics. Thank you
  13. Killer lot there btw…real eye candy.
  14. I suspected Jabo on the shiny one. Colors are close. But no cigar. However the first one I think the first deserves better pics.I had thought possibly a CAC because it’s so stratified with that “sedimentary rock” description. don’t see it matching up to any other other WV swirls in my limited knowledge. Thanks for the responses.
  15. About .61 on the shiny one .64-65” on the more alley looking
  16. alley carnival on the left? It told me it identifies as one…The mib in the right has me curious as well. So few pics of carnivals it’s hard to compare. Strikeout or carnival and imposter? I don’t see carnival in the right hand one. Looks too shiny and Jabo ish. Thanks for looking
  17. You’re welcome! Hopefully someone else can confirm it
  18. Heaton or Cairo. Pink makes me think Cairo
  19. Leaning Heaton in my limited opinion
  20. I believe Chad is correct. Modern polymer. Surface looks like individual grains of sand under 30x.
