Thank you Chuck G. Also, while checking the U.V. on another marble, guess who started 'smoldering'? Here are the pics!
-
Thank you Ric! I am writing this down and adding this to my files. This marble does not react to U.V.. If it is Heaton it will be the first one in my small collection. Thanks again and best wishes

Wow! Thanks Chad G.!π

This is a 5/8" target that I love. The title says what I am thinking when I observe it under a loop. Any advice on what it is would be helpful. Except for picture 7 & 8, the colors are accurate.

The 'Bear Claw Clam' smile in this marble reminded me of the man eating plant 'Audrey 2' in 'Little Shop of Horrors'. I have no idea what this 5/8" wonder is, but I took some backlighting pics to help I.D. it. Any help would be great and appreciated. As seems to be the case---again---please excuse the cat hairs.

This might be an Akro cork screw that didn't quite make it?--but I would like opinions on it just the same. It is 5/8", and has seen some action in the past. The photos don't quite convey the warmth of the colors; and the satin sheen is due to its age. I am giving it a good home to rest. Thanks as always for the help. Best wishes P>S. Apologies for the cat hairs they get EVERYWHERE!

Thanks cheese. A lot to learn--I'm writing this down. Best wishes and happy turkey day!

Thank you for the Akro endorsement! Best wishesππ

Thank you Akroorka. I thought it might be M.F.C.; but I re-watched some videos on slag I.D.'s on YouTube and figured that it fit better with C.A.C. I edited the original statement to reflect that. Thank you for your input. Still a mysteryππ

Here is a celery green slag that I think may be Akro, but am not sure. It is 5/8". As always, more experienced opinions are welcome and valued. Thanks!

I'm going out on a limb here but-- is this a Christensen '9 & tail'? If so, then it is my first one in my pile! It is 5/8". Any help with this blue beauty would be much appreciated.

Thank you Carowillππ

Hey there-- I acquired this 5/8" beauty and need help finding out what it is. Sorry for the cat hairs...they get on everything! Any help I.D.ing this would be appreciated. Thanks and best wishes

Howdy-- I'm not sure what this 5/8's " marble is but the swirls are very 'busy'. There seems to be a lot going on. I couldn't find seams, but maybe sharper eyes can find them. Any ideas as to what it is would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don't forget those two Sulphides in the first picture. Very nice treasure!

I guess that other companies like Vacor etc. have a different kind of retrieval process. I would also venture a guess that 'wet mint marbles' are uncommon during that retrieval process no matter what the manufacturing company. So would you consider hand made marbles to be the most pristine marbles as far as lack of marks, scuffs etc.?
-
Out of curiosity, what have other companies done to avoid touch marks on their products? Are touch marks found on other marbles from other makers like C.A.C. or Alley, etc.?
-
Aha! Got it! Yes- it does have those little 'scuffs'. Marking this down... Thank you very much!
