Here are some Google image Champion "Pumpkins" to see. They aren't mine and the don't glow but figured they would be fun to see in the spirit of Halloween.

'Tis the season for some UV's.... I finally knuckled under(HA!), and bought a UV flashlight. When I got home, I turned off the lights and shined the light on the 'pile'. WoW!! I have a bunch of glowy goodies. One of them is an Akro- cork which surprised me. One is a Veiligglas wire-pull with bubble that has Uranium in it (Dutch?). I discovered what I thought was a frosted hazy cat's eye (Vitro??) and the others I just don't know. The orange one glows like an ember but it is hard to catch in photos. Any help is appreciated and I hope that all of you have a Happy Safe Halloween filled with smiles and treats! If you folks have UV marbles that you are proud of, feel free to share pictures of them in this thread. Let' see what Ghostly goodies you have! Tell us about them!

Thanks. I found a pic of a Vitro buttermilk on google images and am saving it in my Vitro folder for further study- Best wishes

Thanks Mr. Chuck. This thread has inspired me to go out and buy a jeweler's loupe and UV flashlight- ain't waitin' for X-mas! Please explain what av means...is that like UV ultra Violet?, or short for aventurine?

Thank you Chuck- I will write down the information that you have shared. As for "Buttermilk", I got confused with the term 'Buttermilk' thinking it was a name used for the milky yellow/white blending- like you can see in buttermilk that you might use for baking. I figured out my mistake(Vitro), and removed the word from the header. Sorry for the mix up---my bad. Best wishes

There is an excellent Video on YouTube featuring Ron Shepard and Stephen Bahr about Alley Marbles; and they have a section on 'Calligraphy marble I.D. with salesman sample case and everything if that helps. I just watched it and Calligraphy marbles are very pretty!! If you have any, then you have some real prize marbles in your collection. Dear Fire1981- Thanks for the I.D. I don't have a UV light yet... it is on my X-mas list. Here are the back lit pix you wanted. Egg Yolk Blue Cork/Akro! Cool! Do you have any ideas about the other two?
