Thank you Melissa. I’m familiar with the Watermelon and Green Hornet. Do you have an example of the Marie in your collection you might be able to share for context? Your MK knowledge is great!!! We have some sneaky good MK especially shooters. Looking for the elusive Berry Pink

What do most consider rare in the Marble King world? Other than the Superman and Berry Pink? Are Irish VHTF?

Finally picked them up today from the sale I purchased them from. All about 3/4. The turquoise blue are killer. Excited to add them.

I would say Pelt as well if I had to guess

Thank you. I can buy Akro before Jabo on this one. Well it will go in the ? Category for now. Sometime the maker is irrelevant IMO if it’s not CAC/Pelt or handmade. If you like it and it’s unique it has value!

Yes we are very familiar with the Jabo butt crack trait but this white is Marble King white in our opinion. Certainly appreciate the feedback. I’m hopeful that others will chime in and we can get a consensus. Appreciate it

I just looked at our Heatons and it’s a maybe, lol. But I would lean Alley based on the probability -

Lots of Germans that are really damaged but some really nice pee wee, handmade opaque Mellon balls, nice large China and some cool pink fancy Benny’s. -

This one is fairly odd. 5/8 with black stripes and an orangish swirl moving through the core. Hard to describe. Thanks for looking.

Thank you. I know this is a china marble but are they very collectible? I feel like I’ve seen a lot of these. Circled
-
What would these be considered? Crockery, Benningtons, old handmades from Clay? Kinda out of our wheelhouse. Thanks for looking

Here’s my quick feedback on two of the better marbles in your lot. I’ve circled them for you. Top Left Vitro Helmet and center is an Akro Oxblood. The Silver Oxblood is probably the best marble in the lot after looking quickly. Both marbles Also in pic 16 in your hand.

Recent new collectors here in Virgina. Few things that helped us get started. Stopped at 30-40 local antique shops in our area and left our contact at the desk for anyone bringing in marbles or looking to sell. This lead us to find that there were other collectors in our area and we connected with them. Although we were now competing they were way more advanced then us and willing to help us and sell some of there place holders so we could build. Easy way to start ID when you have one from multi makers and examples right in front of you. Some of these contacts are now some of our strongest friend groups. I also watched many Blocks auctions go off before actually buying items on them. It’s very educational for newbies. I would echo what Allan said about attending shows. We attended our first show in CT in October and it was very helpful and meet many of the people in the collection world. Best days of the week are when I know we have new marbles arriving in the mail from buys we have purchased.
