You have one of those oxbloods, too? The scrambled egg one that you call?

I just got home and the two remaining Onyx oxbloods are here along with a very spectacular pelter cub-scout. The cub looks very nostalgic/old/big, something I don't see on ebay or other places. I think this lady must have gotten the Onyx Oxbloods and cub from the same estate. That lemonade is coming from Canada so it's taking it's time. When I get situated I'll get some closeups.

Dose the image on the pelter cub-scout look somewhat like a curvy inflated yellow arrow? Thanks.

No, just making a guess, but I think by next week sometime, I may have 5 Onyx Oxbloods that are 2 Onyx Oxbloods, 2 Golden Onyx Oxbloods and 1 Eggyolk Onyx Oxblood with similar glass/characteristics that maybe originated together. It's definitely not that far-fetched being that estate hunter is known for selling other toys, clothes and some other Antiques and stuff.

I just making an educated guess that the 5 Onyx Oxbloods originated together since it seems at least they have similar glass characteristics. I sure the original box is long gone and these 5 Onyx Oxbloods maybe the only survivors. I will get the last 2 with the cub-scout next week. I think an estate hunter bought 5 or 6 marbles and sold them as toy marbles not knowing what she had. The 6th marble was a very large Peltier cub-scout NLR not related to the other 5 of course. Those specific 2 could and probably are worth a lot of money.

An Akro identifier said that they are a known akro run. If so, they were probably part of some sort of Onyx Oxblood box. I think I might have 5 marbles from the box. I will know more next week.

From what I researched, they are called "Golden Onyx Oxbloods" Some think they are old/early Eggyolk Oxbloods, while others have no idea. One person says they are a known Akro run called, Golden Onyx Oxblood". I think these and 3 other marbles are from the same original box that may have been labeled "Variety Onyx Oxbloods" being that the other 3 are also Onyx Oxbloods of different types. One needs a time machine. The eggyolk Onyx and two others were bought from an estate hunter who probably bought them all at once. The other two will be here next week but I have pictures of them. I think all five came from the same estate sale and out of the same original box.

An Akro identifier said that the "Golden Onyx Oxblood" is a known Akro run. Another dealer, Old Rare Marbles CEO said the name of this marble sounds right even though he's never seen one. I believe all 3 Marbles came from the same box and they might have 2 more friends coming soon.

From Google: Yellow or Canary uranium glass, often called "Vaseline glass," is primarily colored by uranium oxide, while green uranium glass may contain additional elements like iron to achieve a green color. "Yellow uranium glass, often called Vaseline glass, is generally considered a brighter glow under UV light and is highly sought after by collectors." Robert Block says that they are hard to find. He's the only one that has any knowledge that they exist and he runs international auctions. Whatever it is, it's coming next week. All .66 of it and mint.

So what kind of glass does that lemonade marble contain to make it shimmer like that? How early could it have been made knowing the akro company started around 1915?

I've seen very old pictures of this type of marble a long time ago. When could have this marble been produced? Before 1920? The infancy stage of the company.

This marble looks different before the UV glow. The glass shines bright yellow with regular light and the blood flows all around making the marble stand out.

Should be a fascinating marble when I receive it. I'll have to post pictures.

The glass. The early one has a purer form of the uranium Vaseline glass without impurities which makes it look bright yellow while having a brighter "UV" green glow and it's one of the first.

No, I don't have the marble yet. But I think I know what's going on here. This is a very early lemonade that used a purer form of uranium glass when the company started. Incredible.
