  1. Love the little hands!
  2. Would you agree that the color of the stone is similar to the color of the outer ring of the marble? Or the inner ring?
  3. Hey hey..., MBM! Exactly, outbid someone by a dollar. It jumped right off the screen when I first saw it. I thought it was going to skyrocket over 150 but was shocked it didn't. It was called an "Ace Oxblood Corkscrew" but I believe it to be a Carnelian Oxblood. A high-end dealer I know thinks it is also. I'll use this thread to post better pics when it arrives. My Aunt says it looks like the baby alien in the movie "Alien" which adds to the Halloween post.
  4. Me too, Tommy. I'm just hoping I'll get it. It's been since Tuesday and I haven't heard a peep or tracking number. Maybe I'll get it late next week?
  5. If it is or isn't. Remember, the current owner says it's an oxblood. He's got 100% feedback and has had other oxbloods at his auctions. Lighting will be key.
  6. The lighting wasn't good. When I get it, it'll be verified.
  7. It's a Carnelian Akro Oxblood. .79 is about as big as they get. It has cork tendencies. Haven't seen one like this.

    CAC Swirl?

    Looks like it and big.
  9. I don't know what a Wispler is but i don't know if its an Akro.
  10. Labeled as "Ace Oxblood Corkscrew" which it's not. .79 mint. I'm trying to halt any new marbles until I sell several but this was gift wrapped. The lighting was terribly bright plus the wrong ID. Got it for 38 when it should have been a 200-300 marble. Someone should know right away what it is.
  11. Thanks, the hunk it is. I don't know about the other side but his cullet akro glass is exemplary.
  12. I get one of these pieces of glass for free. Anything stands out? Appreciate everybody... I believe they are all oxblood related.
  13. I think this is an MFC brick if it's the same thing? He said it was the best he's ever held in his hand.

    CAC slag?

Correct. It's a Christensen Agate Company CAC "red" Striped Transparent Marble I have one. The other two are also. These are usually small. Mine is .595
  15. He's definitely good. If you're not satisfied, he'll buy it back from you. Got these from him. The superman was an extra.
  16. Looks like I picked up 2 Jabo for 150 bucks. Oh, well... I know they'll be the best Jabo ever made! 😃 Not this one...
  17. Pretty incredible. Now I know.
  18. So basically that means that someone paid Jabo to make a particular marble to their specifications?
  19. Asked if this is a modern marble or Jabo. This was the reply with two new lighted pictures. Comments? "No we don't believe so as he had it labeled as an Akro Oxblood & the other information in the title we got from our personal observations & information we found on marble collection identification websites. The color of the red matches the dark red typical of other Akro Oxblood that we have come across. Akro started producing marbles from 1915-1951 after which they closed, so any Akro marbles will be considered vintage machine made marbles. We've attached a couple extra photos showing the marble in brighter light. Hope this helps & thanks for messaging"

    What is it?

Came from old time collector who mainly collected Akros and other marbles of that time period.
