  6. I have a few Gibson and I do not see any of these thee as his also I think there three different artist one has like a ground unpolished pontil with a two stage latticinio core , the one with the open ends shows so much inside and how the mica is a different stage make me think not a cane marble ? like I said I even enjoy it more after taking pictures , But thinking about the big blue and white there are a few other colors way inside so that could be a Gibson as he liked to put muliti colors in a latticinio core , will post a picture of one of the ones I have . Mike ..... This Gibson marble has every color that is on the out side in the ind side core .
  7. Well as I only bought one box from Dave and had an unbelievable time as we could just walk threw the shop as it was running , I had t to pay $25.00 for my box and I remember Dave just laughing as he said marble collectors are the only people that can get 30 pounds of marbles in a 25 pound box . Just thought I would share this as it was before any contract runs . and also met Steve there and talk about a good time we had I even have a picture for prof . and yes I just wanted to know if he is part of a lot of runs or just some one jumping in ?? Also I just broke a $120 dollar piece of glass goofing off with one of my big onions and that is another story , what a bad day so I just thought I would ?? Mike
  8. The biggest the blue white twisted core is about 1.825 the solid core is 1 580 and the small is about 1.205 . Mike
  9. Well seams to be a lot of knowledge on early contempt's so here are some I bought all at Amana in 1996 , almost was a time when when some there did not want any commentary marbles at the show . I got these and just always wondered who might have made them . the one with mica looks like it was rolled in it is a second stage?? the pink core I liked but when taking the pictures I can see inside it has a red and yellow core inside the pink . wow after about 17 years I even like it more after taking pics , but still wonder who ?? In the years I have a few from artist that just did a few like Beth Cox and Chuck Pritchard might show a few of there later ..Mike

  20. well I have had this a few years / a lot and still have not figured how to get good marble pics with out cropping as there all so big the smallest is 1600 . It works great out side but may be that is because it has so many features I just have not figure them out , I still like my Sony Mavica as it works great on marbles just point and shoot and the size is 640 . I have tried to ask at camera stores to find a camera like that but I think I ask all the wrong questions here are two pics just with the Mavica no light but a ceiling light in the bedroom where the cabinet is .Mike
  21. well I put the pink bennington on the glass of the light box almost makes it look like it is floating . This is very pink the pictures make it look bad but in hand it looks better some times the cameras show more than the eye . it is also about 1/16 out of round . very little blur or brown . almost looks like an Easter egg . Mike THE BOX
  22. Hi well with the marble in the other topic trying to see what I have / mag light Indian I thought I would put it on Janet's light box I made for her but it did not work so I put on the 360 Indian and others and here are a few that I took and then cropped out the marble , so all I can say is I am getting a lot of fun out of that batch and I have had them a week and still have not enjoyed they all yet I am kinda waiting on the big Onions as the more I look at them I wish they were in better shape but last Saturday I was having so much fun I did get taken away a little . so here is what I did just about all day . Mike I might make a different one with out the lights as when I turned them on it just did not work but with them off I think it did a good job ,would be better if I did not have to crop them . Mike
