Marbleneophyte
I'm thinking that both of these are Vitro. The one on the right is a Trilite I think. The one on the left is particularly puzzling and I don't even have an educated guess. They both came out of a box with mostly Vitro so that may be influencing my thinking. Thoughts? Steph
If the left one is Vitro, the colors make me think Anacortes. My first thought on the right would have been Akro.
Marbleneophyte
You nailed the Anacortes...I found similar examples online. Now that you've pointed it out the seams on the 2nd one look a Royal Patch you helped me identify before so that makes it a Tri-Color. So I had the one below with my Masters but now I'm thinking it's a Tri-color too.
Steph
Neither one is a "Tri-Color". The Tri-Color Agate patch has a white base with surface striping in bright colors -- like red, blue, yellow, green, and sometimes oxblood. Having three colors isn't enough to make a Tri-Color -- there's a certain style. In spite of the long seams on the earthtone marble, the colors make me think Master. If someone else thinks Akro, I wouldn't argue much. Still not a Tri-Color Agate. Here's a box of Tri-Colors.
Marbleneophyte
Hmmm🤔 Looks like I have some studying to do on my patches. Thanks Steph...
