Hi all

I have found these in the recent weeks....been very little on the ground.

Some have scratches but the large one i find rather super.  Not sure if any of the smaller ones are interesting or just give away stuff.

Thanks for looking

norman

large : Approx. 3,5cm

Yea, looks like a good grouping of Germans, latticino core, coreless, can’t tell what type on the blue glass German hard to see core, solid core the next one I believe from the pic, onionskin next and the  remaining are “foreign”…not za German,,,However the green one on bottom left is interesting, hard to tell.

Thanks for looking....as i am a total novice and have scant idea what is really good or not......must say i have learnt a lot on this board.

My question is this...does it matter to a seriious collector if the large Germans have scratches....would that exclude them for their collection.

When it comes to the smaller marbles i do notice sizes are given....is this an indication that they are not modern.

once again many thanks

Hello
if the Germans have scratches, always reduce on the value, but NEVER excluded, absolutely!

Indeed, I will tell you that on handmade antique marbles, even if they have chips, they are much more tolerated than machine-made ones.

When the dimensions are provided, the marbles can be old or new, that's for sure

Grazie mille per le informazioni... ora devo cercare come trovare un oggetto d'antiquariato come per uno nuovo... ma ci arriverò suppongo.

Molto apprezzato

You are welcome.
There are certainly some very good examples of mint, many may have been polished, which always affects the value, even if they are equally beautiful...
