akroorka Posted July 9, 2022 Report Share Posted July 9, 2022 When you backlight a "Moonie" it will open up and not look so opaque as it does in hand. It will also shine through as a red-ish orange tint. Moonies are made with opalecent glass. The fish eye effect is noticeable when backlit as an out of focus depth to the marble--like a fishes eye. Fish eyes are also referred to as a slit or opening in the area of the cutoff, often on both sides of the marble, these can be seen in hand in natural light. Marble—On!!
