The things i treasure for life

With pain in my heart i had to let go of a part of my German Handmade Marbles collection

My family needed help so stepped in and did what was necessary

I said goodbye to the ones i bought here in the Netherlands and some i found here in the wild

A minor setback for me but nevertheless my marble collecting heart is still full of Joy

I was able to keep the german ones i got from my new friends here and from other country's around the world , i treasure all the marbles i got from friends here and they will stand their ground here

So i had some extra space now to fill

Picked marbles from several cases that i have here and started to setup these treasures for display , i once again want to say thanks to all who made this possible for me the last 1.5 years since i am collecting and was accepted as a part of the marble family we have here

Still on track to have the biggest collection in the Netherlands and maybe beyond

And i will treasure these marbles for life

A few less Germans but look at this.....

Just Awsome !!! 🤹‍♂️😃👍

And got some books from a brother yesterday and i really really enjoy these books and made me smile again after letting go of my baby's that same day

Thanks 🍀🙏

Enjoy the pictures

Marble On !!!

Those marbles you let go of were spectacular, Mojo - I started collecting with the old Germans so I feel your pain. You were a hero to sacrifice them for your family.

And I`m very happy to see you have some nice marbles left! The hunt begins again . . .

Just a small setback. There are more marbles to hunt. I lost a very big portion of my collection in 2005, due to a divorce. It was good size, thousands of all price ranges. But I built it again and maybe even more. Some I have never replaced. But I now have several that I never had before.  If I had a choice would I take my first collection or my second collection. No doubt I would take the second collection. The second time around, I was more careful with conditions. What I liked and not what was the latest craze. I stopped chasing the names. I did not need three or four of the same thing.  I no longer need a loupe to see av, oxblood etc. If that is required, I am not interested.  So maybe the next marbles you get may be as nice or even better that what you had to give up. It is a lot easier to replace or find more marbles than it is to replace family.
